A new website, ProgressStartsHere.org, has launched to provide information and updates about the Stephen M. Morris Behavioral Health Center, a new state-of-the-art facility scheduled to open in mid-2026.
The Center is a partnership between Cabarrus County and Monarch and brings multiple mental health and substance use disorder services together under one roof in a 59,000-square-foot facility. Services include a Youth Behavioral Health Urgent Care, an Adult Behavioral Health Urgent Care, a Youth Facility-Based Crisis Center and a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility for children and adolescents.
The website name, ProgressStartsHere.org, reflects the facility's future address at 925 Progress Place NE in Concord.
“This Center represents a new era of accessible, coordinated behavioral health care for our community, and this website gives families, partners and providers a clear place to start,” said Ashley Conrad, MSL, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Crisis Services at Monarch. “ProgressStartsHere.org will be the hub for information and updates as we move toward opening this summer.”
Cabarrus County Behavioral Health Director Kamilah McKissick said the site provides a glimpse of the transformative resources the center will bring to the region.
“We can’t wait to introduce this life-changing facility to our residents,” she said. “In the meantime, we invite everyone to visit the new website to begin exploring how the center will serve this community for years to come.”

Information on how to access services and make referrals
Career information and links to job openings for about 150 positions
News and updates on construction and the Center’s opening timeline
A “Contact Us” form to request more information
